The Wardstone Chronicles follow the adventures of young Tom Ward, apprentice to a spook, as he and his master, John Gregory deal with ghosts, ghasts, boggarts and all sorts of things that go bump in the night. And the sequel, The Starblade Chronicles, which are about his own adventures as a spook.

And finally the exploits of a young noviciate monk as he goes from being a monk to apprentice to a spook.
