Tusk is a minor antagonist in The Wardstone Chronicles, and the son of Mother Malkin and the Fiend. He is an abhuman with a massive figure, grey skin and hair, and large tusks protruding from his mouth.
In The Spook's Apprentice, Tusk lives in a cottage outside of Chipenden with Bony Lizzie and Alice Deane. After Mother Malkin escapes a pit in the Eastern Garden at Chipenden, and is temporarily killed by Tom, Tusk and Lizzie chase Tom back to the spook's house, where they are warded off by the boggart.
Later, Tom is tricked by Alice and is captured by Tusk, who throws him into a pit, and Lizzie, who poisons him. In the morning the two come back for him, and just in time, John Gregory appears. He binds Bony Lizzie and kills Tusk, putting an end to his time on earth.
In Spooks: Alice, Tusk appears as one of the reccuring enemies Alice has to face in the dark. He assists Bony Lizzie and Mother Malkin in ambushing Alice in the citadel, where the portal to the fiends domain is found. It's here that he is killed for the second and final time by Thorne.
Trivia[]
- In the movie Seventh Son, Tusk is no longer Mother Malkin's son, and now replaces the role of the boggart as the spook's helper.
- Tusk is played by John DeSantis in Seventh Son.
- Due to Tusk being Mother Malkin's son, and Bony Lizzie being her granddaughter, people theorize Tusk to be Bony Lizzie's father. This could explain both Lizzie's and Alice's incredible magical power, as they would then both have the Fiends blood.
